Hogwarts Legacy is a pretty big game. It's also a pretty good game. But, over six months since launch, fans are definitely hungry for more.
We all know how much expectation surrounded Harry Potter RPG in the run up to launch, and it's fair to say Hogwarts Legacy didn't quite deliver the Skyrim-level experience a lot of you so clearly expected. A lot of fans feel the open-world game feels largely empty and doesn't really reward multiple playthroughs. Other have accused developer Avalanche Software of outright lying about the game's features.
Take a look at Hogwarts Legacy in action below!
The good news is that a new upcoming event for Harry Potter fans everywhere could mark the first significant update Hogwarts Legacy has received in months.

Long-time Harry Potter nerds will know that Back To Hogwarts Day is coming up, and will begin on 1 September. The day essentially sees fans celebrate students' return to Hogwarts with official and unofficial events. This would, of course, be the perfect time for Hogwarts Legacy to drop an update - or at least news of an update.
Warner Bros. and Portkey Games have yet to announce any plans for Back To Hogwarts Day, so you certainly shouldn't get your hopes up too far. There's also been no real word on official DLC or expansions for the base game, though given the huge amounts of money Hogwarts Legacy has made in less than a year, we'd be amazed if we never got DLC of any kind.
There's still a chance we could be surprised on Friday, of course, so stay tuned and we'll be sure to update you just as soon as we learn more. After all, there's no better time to get people interested in Hogwarts Legacy again than an event specially designed around returning to the fictional school.
