The big man himself, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, is coming back for a brand new Assassin’s Creed release from Ubisoft, and he's bringing Altaïr and Connor along for the ride.
Thank you in advance to Xbox Era's Genghis Husameddin for the original source!
Last night, Ubisoft and the British miniatures and board game publisher Mantic Games revealed a brand new twist on the Assassin’s Creed formula: a nerdy tabletop adventure titled Assassin's Creed: Animus.

No shade on my behalf, because I am one of those nerds… plus I think this sounds kind of cool.
“Here at Mantic we're very proud to be partnering with Ubisoft to produce Assassin’s Creed: Animus, the thrilling new board game that will allow players to experience the Assassin's Creed universe on tabletop like never before,” Mantic Games revealed on their official site.
“Crowdfunding later in 2025, Assassin’s Creed and tabletop fans alike can look forward to an ambitious and compelling experience that spans across many popular eras of the legendary franchise, as well as including a wide cast of fan-favourite Assassins.”
And, well, that’s kind of all we know about Assassin's Creed: Animus at the moment.

Aside from some cool artwork featuring Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed II and Assassin’s Creed III’s protagonists Ezio, Altaïr and Connor, we don’t actually know what Assassin's Creed: Animus will feature or how it will play.
However, there is one little tidbit on the Kickstarter page that states you can "become a legendary assassin with unique abilities", so it sounds like your gameplay style will be directly influenced by your choice of Assassin’s Creed protagonist.
No release date in sight either, but you can head over to the Kickstarter page and follow the game’s launch.
Here’s hoping they add Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag’s Edward Kenway so I can plop a giant boat down on the board and pelt my mates with cannon fire.
