Fallout fans surprised with limited-time free download

A pleasant irradiated surprise

Fallout 76 is growing, and with the latest update, that brings ghouls to the character creation screen, there’s plenty to be getting on with in the wasteland.

The latest update, The Ghoul Within, which dropped on 23 April, will vastly expand the game, bringing Fallout fans even more quests and tasks, with many of these systems being streamlined for ease of play.

Fallout 76 is constantly being expanded and updated for fans to enjoy

Replacing the Event Challenges, new Mini Seasons have arrived with the goal of making tasks easier to accept, beat, and enjoy.

The first Mini Season will be active from 23 April, through to 5 May, titled Appalachian Outlaws.

Of course, there are plenty of goodies to grab as you make your way through each Mini Season, and the first of these looks to offer players cosmetics like a money bag backpack, as well as a wealth of other items to kit out your survivor.

All has been revealed over on Twitter, to start building excitement for fans of the game, and franchise.

Once in the game, players can accept the money bag backpack reward, and with it equipped, will be able to collect Season Tickets for completing set tasks.

These tickets are then swapped for rewards in the Mini Season tab of the game, with things like a decorative wanted poster and detective board up for grabs.

Players are already exchanging tips on how best to tackle the challenges, noting that you’ll either need a lot of lockpicks to complete challenges, or be ready to team up with others to share the load.

Reception has, so far, been mixed, with some players encountering bugs or glitches, which will hopefully be fixed as the season moves along.

While it might not be the best start, at least the game is being supported in fresh and new ways, to keep players coming back.
