It continues to be a busy ol’ time in the Wizarding World fandom.
Harry Potter Quidditch Champions is out as of today, and the game is available as a day one launch on PlayStation Plus allowing plenty of you to nab it for free.
In case you missed it, Back To Hogwarts Day also took place a few days ago.

The event is held on 1 September every year to mark the day in which the students of Hogwarts School and Witchcraft and Wizardry would return to continue their studies.
Each year, the day is used to update the Wizarding World fandom on what’s next for the franchise and this time around, that included a rather fun video game announcement.
Unfortunately, no, the director’s cut of Hogwarts Legacy still hasn’t been revealed but it was unveiled that the open world LEGO Harry Potter Collection will be launched natively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Up to now, the game was only available via backwards compatibility.

The new edition will run at 60fps, boast 4K resolution, high-resolution shadow maps, and feature enhanced haptic feedback - particularly on the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller.
It’s set to launch on 8 October for $39.99, or you can pay to upgrade your existing version. The price of this is unconfirmed but such upgrades typically cost around $10.
As a tip, both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are currently on sale for £5.24 so it may be worth grabbing the existing edition and upgrading to nab the better deal.
You’d think that this would all be welcomed news - a cause of excitement for Wizarding World fans.

But no. That’s not the case.
“The most obvious problem I and most people have with this game is that it’s just a remaster. Everyone including myself was expecting a Skywalker Saga type game,” wrote Reddit user Np_Plan_125.
They continued, “Another problem is the lack of footage shown. This comes out next month so you would expect when it got announced there would be a trailer for it because there are unanswered questions such as: What will it actually look like? Will it finally have talking characters?”
I have to say, I’m somewhat surprised too.

It’s been rumoured for sometime that a LEGO Harry Potter rerelease might be coming so given that length of time, an upgrade akin to what was done with The Skywalker Saga perhaps isn’t too much to ask.
“I would've loved a near Skywalker Saga version of LEGO Harry Potter,” agreed Imsoboredimonhere.
“The remaster is being made by Double Eleven and not TT Games, so the leaked LEGO HP Remake that was in-development could still be on the way,” added another user although I’m dubious about their claim given the similar nature of those two possible projects.
At the end of the day, this rerelease is most going to benefit those who haven’t yet sampled this collection.
