Avengers: Secret Wars first teaser is hiding a major clue right in front of us

Avengers: Secret Wars first teaser is hiding a major clue right in front of us

Are the details of the films right in front of us?

Are there already teasers for the next two Avengers films right in front of us? Or a homage to the legacy of the comics?

We know very little about Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars aside from the big news of Robert Downey Jr coming back to the MCU as Doctor Doom.

There's a lot more Marvel coming to gaming in teh next few years, including Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra

One theory floating around out there is that the logos for the two films foreshadow details by using very particular colours.

Of course, the Avengers: Doomsday logo is the very familiar silver and green of Doctor Doom, perhaps signalling his dominance in that film.

The Avengers: Secret Wars logo features gold and red, which are traditionally Iron Man’s colour scheme.

Now, excited fans may be reading into this too much as the red and gold colours are the main palette of the original comic book title, too.

The colour theory goes that Doctor Doom, played by Downey Jr, could be thwarted by, well, Downey Jr as Iron Man in the sixth Avengers film.

While it’s an interesting idea, it’s unlikely Marvel will double down on the Oscar winner’s casting and have him feature in two roles. Though nothing is out of the realm of possibility for comic book films.

What’s more likely is a homage to the original comic book as Secret Wars is one of the most popular and most famous Marvel storylines ever.

This is echoed on Reddit by one user who says, “I don’t think it’s teasing Iron Man at all. That’s a huge stretch.”

Though in a reply to this, Coyotesmarts, said, “The transition from Doomy green for Doomsday to Iron Man red & gold for Secret Wars does seem significant to me. It's the exact same color scheme for the Iron Man Trilogy logo.”

We’ll be waiting until 2027 to find out more and sit in the front row with everyone else.
