A new update for a recent PlayStation 5 game just got one of the biggest content updates I have ever seen in my life, and you don’t need to pay a dime or even have a PlayStation Plus subscription to access it.
Thank you in advance to Push Square’s Sammy Barker for the original source!
Infinity Nikki, the free to play dress-up RPG, is getting a massive update later today on all platforms, and all of its new content is completely free.

Alongside introducing new outfits, shops and events, the update will also add a brand new area for players to explore: the Sea of Stars.
The new area adds a “permanent feature that links various worlds” and allows players to tackle certain challenges in co-op mode.
“Here, everyone can interact and socialize with others, and gather unique resources to purchase and craft new outfits. A world of thrilling features awaits, ready to be explored and discovered!” states the update page for the game.
It should be noted that while the update doesn’t require an online subscription of any sort to play, I couldn’t actually find out whether or not the new co-op mode can be played without PlayStation Plus. I think we might just have to verify that once the update goes live at 7pm GMT tonight.

If you’re annoyed about the game being offline for so long, then don’t worry. The devs have already announced that (as long as you log in before May 6) all players will be getting 500 Diamonds and one Resonite Crystal as way of compensation for the downtime.
I also can’t verify exactly how big the update is, but given all of the new content… I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re looking at a 10gb+ update for this one.
Here’s hoping you can download it ASAP to get all of those limited-time events finished immediately.
