A new RPG in the works that looks like a mix of The Witcher and Assassin’s Creed could satisfy your needs while you wait for The Witcher 4.
The Witcher games are great at blending real world folklore with high fantasy elements, while the more recent Assassin’s Creed games have served as some of the best RPGs of the past few years.
Check out the reveal trailer for The Witcher 4, which is set to be CD Projekt Red's next big RPG.
And now, Thorgal from Mighty Koi seems like it could be a mix of both, taking the fantasy elements of The Witcher and blending it with the Norse visuals seen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Thorgal is described as “an action adventure game with RPG elements”, and is based on the comic book series of the same name by Jean Van Hamme and Grzegorz Rosiński.
“Assume the mantle of Thorgal Aegirsson, the enigmatic Viking warrior whose mysterious origins set the stage for an epic odyssey fraught with peril and intrigue,” the Steam description reads.
“With enemies both mortal and divine lurking at every turn, including formidable adversaries drawn from the rich tapestry of Norse mythology, the fate of Thorgal and his family hangs in the balance.”
Given the Norse setting, there are also a few parallels between Thorgal and God of War too. And a little bit of Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.

While we don’t really have any details about how the game will play, the developer promises “rich storytelling and immersive gameplay”, whatever that means.
Mighty Koi is a studio based in Warsaw comprised of animation industry veterans. The developer has not released a game yet, but is also working on The Night Wanderer alongside Thorgal as their debut projects.
Similar to Thorgal, The Night Wanderer doesn’t have many details public yet but it also promises to be an immersive RPG.
With details still light, we’ll have to wait until a later date when Mighty Koi can reveal more about these two games with more than just a CG trailer. So far though, nothing has been announced regarding a release date or full gameplay reveal.
