Fans are nervous about the potential release date of The Elder Scrolls VI, but what else is new?
Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls VI during E3 2018, and still to this day, we don't have a release date, nor have we seen a gameplay trailer. Long before now, the radio silence has resulted in many fans assuming that the highly anticipated fantasy RPG will be a next-gen title.

As lovely as it would be, I think most of us would be more surprised if The Elder Scrolls VI were to be released during this generation. That being said, the optimist in me hopes that it might release during the tail end of the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 life cycle.

Regardless of when Bethesda announces when The Elder Scrolls VI will arrive, fans have been very patient, but it seems like even more patience is required, that’s at least according to a video game journalist.
“IGN's Ryan McCaffrey keeps saying TESVI could be four to five years away, and it's making me nervous,” exclaimed Redditor Ichbinian. “Thoughts? He seems pretty well informed.”
“Four to five years away wouldn't make sense unless there are major issues for a game having already spent years in development. I think 2026 is a big stretch, but 2029 seems equally as unrealistic,” said DoNotLookUp1.
“Nobody knows when it'll be released, we can only speculate and make guesses based on the few crumbs we’ve had,” replied Kuchichi_Byakuya.

“He's not in Bethesda, so don't worry about it,” suggested Rinma96.
At the end of the day, as Kuchichi_Byakuya said, nobody apart from the folks at Bethesda will know when The Elder Scrolls VI will be released. Hopefully, we’ll learn more in the coming months.
At least we have The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered to keep us busy, for now.
