In fact, according to Steamdb, fans were also eager to pay full price for the remaster, resulting in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered dominating the Steam charts on PC.
As exciting as it is to play The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, understandably, fans now have renewed hope for The Elder Scrolls VI, despite being announced seven years ago and having no official clue as to when it will be released.
“The Oblivion remaster has sparked so much hope for The Elder Scrolls VI,” said Redditor 05091946-24111991. “The changes that have been made and the direction of the game make me think that much of what fans want from The Elder Scrolls VI will materialise.”
“I’m loving the combat system and the way stamina works, choosing a background for each race, etc. I know Bethesda didn't develop the game, but there's no way that there wasn't oversight for these systems and using this game as a way to demo some new mechanics.”

Other than looking lushing powered by Unreal Engine 5, the combat and progression system has been overhauled in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, as well as the animations, character creator and much more.
There have been so many improvements made to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, we can see why many consider it to be a remake rather than a remaster.
“I'm really liking Oblivion so far. My son pointed out that it's like getting The Elder Scrolls VI early,” replied Quenzayne. “That's a fun way to look at it.”
“Bethesda is definitely watching the reception to Oblivion right now. If some of the changes are well-received, they may implement them in The Elder Scrolls VI,” said Kakapac.
