The Elder Scrolls fans have been patiently waiting for The Elder Scrolls VI for years now, but Bethesda is giving them a different sequel instead.
It’s a sequel for none other than The Elder Scrolls Online, the MMO that reintroduces you to loads of familiar Elder Scrolls territories and cultures.
It launched years ago but is still updated regularly with new content and expansions, so if you game on PC often, it might be worth checking out - especially if you want to kill some time while you wait for The Elder Scrolls VI.

Anyway, The Elder Scrolls Online is welcoming yet another update into the mix, this time going all the way back to how it all started with a sequel story.
“We're going back to the beginning, with a bold new story to tell,” read the announcement tweet from the official Elder Scrolls Online X page, before continuing, “Welcome to Seasons of the Worm Cult, sequel to the 2014 base game story, 10 years in the making.”
Take a look at the trailer below.
While I’d love to tell you that this update was met with excitement by fans, I’m afraid it was not, as many have taken issue with the cost of the expansion as well as how it fails to improve other areas of the game.

“We need new combat animations, or a new ragdoll system. Current combat looks goofy,” read one of the replies.
Another called the developers “lazy” for not updating the game with what fans have been asking for.
Others tore apart the fact you have to pay for the DLC, as it was in the base game years ago before being recycled into this new expansion.
Seems like a swing and a miss for The Elder Scrolls Online; never mind though, I’m sure some players out there will get a kick out of it.
