The Elder Scrolls VI is still a long way off its launch day, and many have given up hope we’ll see even a glimpse of it for the rest of 2025.
While it was good of Bethesda to confirm The Elder Scrolls VI was in the pipeline when it dropped that initial teaser trailer, it’s pretty cruel that there’s been no update since on the game’s progress.

No one wants the game to be rushed, but at the same time we do want something, even if it’s just some screenshots of the current game world.

Others really want that second trailer though, and are pleading to Bethesda to make it happen.
“When the hell are we getting a second trailer, began omaribrahim0505, “it’s been SEVEN years since they teased us with the first trailer. No gameplay, no updates. Not even a release YEAR. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SURVIVE ON THAT 36 SECOND VIDEO.”
Their pain was felt by the rest of the community, many of which have given up hope we’ll even see another trailer this year, let alone anytime soon.
“I gave up waiting … GTA 6 will help make the wait feel shorter for sure, so they can take their time, just not any more than 3 years from now lol.”

“Hate to be a downer about it, but probably not anytime soon. I would love to be wrong about that. I definitely wouldn't expect to see gameplay anytime soon.”
“They didn’t devote their full resources to TESVI until Starfield was completed, the game is still quite a ways out and they likely don’t have much to show for a trailer yet.”
We’ll get our update when the time is right, for now all we can do is wait and hope this year’s games are a suitable distraction, pretty easy when one of them is GTA VI.
