Steam users need to check out this gorgeous post-apocalyptic survival game, which launches later this year.
It’s a stunning game that seamlessly blends elements from several well-known RPGs, namely Horizon: Zero Dawn and Bethesda’s Fallout series.
Speaking of Fallout, it’s almost time to experience the wastelands like never before with the live-action TV series, see the latest trailer for yourself below
The Steam game is called Ashfall, and it’s a third-person shooter set in a bleak world filled with dangers, where humanity is on the cusp of extinction every day after artificial intelligence took over the planet.

Ashfall’s full description reads: “AI has risen and launched a nuclear war against humanity. As ashes descend upon the ruins of civilization, you are tasked with leaving the safety of your vault to find the key to saving the world. Take up arms in this post-apocalyptic looter shooter and claim back what once was ours!”
It’s very Terminator-esque, with a varied list of environments to explore, plenty of colourful characters to meet on your travels and plenty of cold, grey steel to tear apart in the name of freedom, which sounds great for Helldivers 2 players.
So far the game looks gorgeous, and looks to strike a strong balance between open world exploration and action-packed combat with the machines.
At the time of writing there’s no specific release date to share, though the game is reportedly aiming for a Q3 launch.

If you can’t fathom waiting that long, I’m afraid you’re out of luck as there’s no mention of an upcoming demo or playtest to get your hands on the game early.
That being said, we’re already in March and it hardly feels like a day has gone by since it was the New Year, so if you’ve been tempted by Ashfall you hopefully won’t have too long to wait.
