Grand Theft Auto fans think the second GTA VI trailer will premiere much later than we originally thought, but it is getting narrowed down.
The second trailer is arguably the most important out of all of the game’s marketing, as while that first trailer was fantastic and broke loads of viewership records, it really only showed us a tiny sliver of what’s to come.
Shots of the open-world, some of the NPCs and presumably the cutscenes were all shown off, but no actual gameplay.
It’s that reason that fans want a second trailer so badly, for some boots-on-the-ground gameplay of GTA VI.

It looks like we have a longer wait than originally anticipated though, as any hopes of the second trailer dropping this month are now less likely thanks to Mafia: The Old Country.
“With Mafia getting a trailer in May and release in August, if GTA VI releases in October, we may not see trailer two until July," said Reddit user Sysody.
While not developed by Rockstar Games, Mafia: The Old Country still falls under the ownership of Take-Two Interactive, so the two games will likely have very different marketing plans as to not clash with each other.
“So Mafia is gonna have a three month marketing period. If GTA VI will also have three months to market that means July or August will start marketing if the game releases October or November,” theorised one of the comments.

Others disagreed though, believing GTA VI is too big of a game to worry about clashing with other properties.
“Imagine telling everyone back in October - December that we’d likely have to wait until Summer 2025 to hear more news lol,” joked another comment.
We could be wrong though, perhaps Rockstar will indeed drop the trailer this month on a whim; the studio has been very unpredictable up to now so nothing is off the table.
