As revealed back in December last year, it seems that a remastered version of the original God of War trilogy may be on its way.
Honestly, this shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, as Sony are in full remaster-overdrive at the moment.
Marvel's Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Remastered (and The Last of Us Part II), Ghost of Tsushima, the Uncharted trilogy - hell, they even just announced a remastered version of Days Gone, so they’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point.

I think a God of War remaster isn’t just possible, as I’d even go as far to say that it’s actually highly likely… which is why fans are a little concerned that some of the more risque content in the first three games won’t make it into the remasters.
In a thread simply titled “If the remaster is real, do you think they gona remove sex scenes?” over on the r/GodofWar subreddit, fans discussed the intricacies of removing their favourite x-rated button-mashing mini-game.
“Basically the mini games are part of the Greek saga. I don't see any compelling reason or motive for them to be removed,” commented user deaconstjohnps5.
“What’s the point of remaking the game if you’re going to chop it off at the knees? Pathetic,” replied user arrownoir.

So… what are the chances that Sony will actually remove the scenes? I’d say it’s 50/50, because I can see the argument for both sides.
On one hand, they will annoy some folks by taking them out. But, on the other hand, they are kind of just unnecessary jokes for the sake of showing off some 3D boobs… so I could see Sony opting to remove them if it could potentially lower the age rating of the games.
Either way, I don’t think there’s a right answer, so I don’t envy the decision here.
