Days Gone is set to receive a remaster this April and despite the less than positive reaction during its announcement, fans have slowly come around to the idea thanks to a brand-new trailer.
First released in 2019 by Bend Studio, Days Gone is an action-adventure title that follows drifter and bounty hunter Deacon St. John as he navigates a deadly, post-pandemic America.

With hordes of zombies at every turn, surviving is no easy task, especially when you are searching for a reason to keep going.

Days Gone was met with mixed reviews at launch but that has seemingly not stopped Sony from announcing Days Gone Remastered which will be launching as a digital-only title on 25 April.
Offering near-identical gameplay but with PlayStation 5 enhancements, such as improved visuals, and DualSense support, there will also be a variety of new modes including: horde mode, Permadeath mode, and a Speedrun mode.
Last but not least, there will be a series of new trophies to unlock.
Despite the controversy surrounding this remaster, considering other Sony titles have yet to receive the same treatment (Bloodborne *cough cough*), the Days Gone Remastered trailer has got some former fans excited.

“This is AMAZING, not sure if everyone is thinking the same as me but if they are remastering it, it means we have a potential for Days Gone 2,” said one user over on r/DaysGone.
“They will see how well days gone remastered sells, if it sells well, they will 100% do the sequel.
I'm definitely buying, but hoping it comes to PC.”
This would indeed be good news as despite Bend Studio expressing an interest in a sequel, Sony has not been on board as a result of low sales for Days Gone.

Perhaps if this remaster sells well, Sony may rethink its decision.
