It’s not unusual for familiar faces to crop up once again in the Assassin’s Creed series; after all, Assassin’s Creed Mirage marked the return of Valhalla’s Basim.
It’s certainly not a guarantee though, even if a character is beloved by fans.
The franchise’s upcoming output is proof of that.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows introduces completely new protagonists in the form of Yasuke and Naoe, and it’s assumed that Assassin’s Creed Jade and Assassin’s Creed Hexe will do so beyond that.
If Ubisoft was to revisit a particular character though, there are plenty of fans hoping that it might be Assassin’s Creed III’s Connor.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows launches incredibly soon, on 20 March to be exact.
“I think Connor is underrated,” began Reddit user WackyJaber. “I can't help but feel like Connor, of all the other AC protags, could be extrapolated the most on. I'd really like if Ubisoft went back and gave Connor more of a chance to shine.”

It’s a thought echoed by many.
“I like Connor, but I’m super biased. A) It’s my first AC game, B) I’m Native American, and it’s so rare we get any good [representation] in anything, especially back then, and C) I like the American revolution as a time period. I think there’s plenty of cool things they could do with Connor or his kids,” added Dramatic-Emphasis-43.
Yavel33 commented, “I completely agree. I’ve always said people hated on Connor too much and he was a f**king beast. He literally revived the colony brotherhood SINGLEHANDED and I personally think he grew a lot but not in the way Ezio did.”
They continued, “Connor gained knowledge on how things will be for HIS people. He never cared about anyone else, that was his mission. I firmly believe we should get a second game detailing what happened when he had his last daughter and teaching her the ways of the Assassins.”

Of course, there’s no saying whether Ubisoft is even considering the idea or not.
I have to say though, it’s something I’d love to see come to fruition.
