Okay, we know, it’s another day and it’s another GTA VI story, but this time, it looks like something is finally happening and it’s happening soon.
For years fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the next entry in Rockstar Games’ mammoth Grand Theft Auto series. Yet, ever since Rockstar Games announced that GTA VI was in development back in February 2022, official news on that front has been pretty much non-existent.

Many would have assumed that following its 2022 announcement a gameplay trailer and release date wouldn't be far away. Sadly, nearly two years on we’re still left waiting. It’s the reason why we’ve had to rely on endless rumours and alleged leaks.

So what’s different this time, I hear you ask? Well, the major difference is that the source of information is courtesy of Bloomberg journalist, Jason Schreier. Anyone who follows news in the video game industry will know that Schreier is incredibly reliable and when he leaks information, it’s usually bang on the money.
According to sources of Schreier, those close to Rockstar Games claim that a trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI will drop sometime in early December in celebration of the developer’s 25th anniversary. We don’t know how much Rockstar Games would show of GTA VI in the expected trailer, but the worst-case scenario would be a mere logo. The best-case scenario would of course be gameplay with a GTA VI release date.
It’s perhaps worth keeping in mind that The Game Awards takes place on 7 December, which would make for an ideal reveal for GTA VI. We’ll of course keep you posted as and when we hear of any further developments.
Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released sometime during 2024 to 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
