Four days ago, a Redditor ventured into the GTA VI section of the website, which is now a wasteland of Grand Theft Auto fans huffing copium, and dared to suggest that we should mark our calendars for 18 April.
Why? Well, why not? We might as well. We’re so desperate for any news on GTA VI. All we want is a second trailer for the game, or some kind of news, like a release date.
Imagine that 18 April brings a second trailer for us to analyse
Fans are so desperate for any crumb of information, we’ve analysed the phases of the moon, picked apart the lyrics of the song in the first trailer, why not just put out a random date and see if it sticks.

“What schizo theory did I miss this time?” asked one Redditor.
There is a method to the madness - 18 April is 500 days since the first trailer debuted, so surely something will emerge from Rockstar Games.
Do we want to get our hopes up again? Are we masochistic enough to circle the date and believe that something will be announced?
Most of the Reddit thread is just jokes and memes at this point, with many wondering just how many predictions can be made.

Mostly it’s fans wondering how it has already been 500 days since the first trailer and lamenting the passing of time.
“It’s already been 500 days since trailer 1?! Can time please not just slow down a tiny bit??” exclaims OvenFearless.
Imagine this person is right. 18 April rolls around and Rockstar Games drops the second trailer.
The clout they’ll receive will be monumental. The internet points overflowing.

Maybe they know something we don’t. Maybe it’s John Rockstar in disguise.
Perhaps their uncle’s girlfriend has a cousin, who worked with a guy, that dated the therapist of the intern who does social media for Rockstar Games.
