It is coming up to a year since Rockstar Games released the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI.
With fans eagerly anticipating the next one, a user over on r/GTA6 believes it will arrive as early as this week.
It has almost been a year since the first official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was released. Check it out below!
Why do they think this, you may ask?

Well, by looking at the moon apparently.
The Grand Theft Auto VI “moon theory” has been circulating the internet since the announcement of the next big expansion for Grand Theft Auto Online.
The expansion in question is due to release in December but to celebrate its upcoming arrival, Rockstar posted what looks like a seemingly innocent promotional image.
However, clued-up fans soon noticed the moon featured in the top left corner of the image.

“A waning gibbous moon in the most recent Rockstar post,” Reddit user tnasstyy posted to the r/GTA6 subreddit on 1 November. “This moon phase next will occur on Nov. 17.”
Upon further research, the waning gibbous moon is expected to arrive this week but it will be on the 22 November instead.
That is why one user took to r/GTA6 this weekend and shared: “Come on guys let’s have some goddamn faith!
November 22 is the day Trailer 2 will be announced. Have a little faith, a little faith! Everything is coming together exactly as we planned…”

You may be wondering why the GTA community has seemingly focused on a moon.
That is because two months before Rockstar released the first GTA VI trailer, it also posted a promotional image for the upcoming Moon Festival in GTA Online.
In this image, there was yet another waning gibbous moon which would appear on 1 December, 2023.
Lo and behold, this was the date that Rockstar shared their first announcement over the long-awaited trailer.

It remains to be seen if 22 November will see an announcement for the trailer, the trailer itself or absolutely nothing at all.
Let’s hope it isn’t the latter.
