One of the things missing from Hogwarts Legacy, that many players have wanted since the game first released, is a way to both play with friends, and against them.
The idea of slinging spells at each other, dodging bolts spitting from wands, is an enticing one, and something that modders for Hogwarts Legacy have been chasing for months.
Some PC mods for Hogwarts Legacy are officially supported now
HogWarp is a multiplayer PC mod we’ve written about a lot in the past, and it’s constantly evolving.

Essentially, it allows you to turn your single-player game into a multiplayer experience, by creating a lobby in Hogwarts for you and your mates.
It started out very bare bones, but over time has had more and more features added for players to experiment with.
Over on Reddit, one player has reported that they managed to duel another player using spells, though this should come with a note explaining that the two were simply role-playing.
You can see, in the video, that each player is rolling about, launching spells at the other, but neither are taking damage.

The thread creator notes, “Protego doesn't do anything yet, the mod doesn't even officially support PVP so it's a surprise I even got hit by that depulso at the end.”
For now, this is what fans will have to live with, but you can be certain that modders will keep working on bringing proper duelling to the game soon.
Another fan says, “I feel like it’d be cooler if it were more like a standard in game duel. Small arena, blocking and countering until someone loses.”
Still, there’s nothing wrong with some role-playing, and it gives the effect of being in the films or books, and living among the witches and wizards.

Others aren’t so convinced that multiplayer is needed, with one Redditor saying, “Of course it’s nothing but shoot, dodge roll, shoot, dodge roll. So happy multiplayer isn’t a thing for this game.”
Perhaps it’s something that will be explored in the sequel, if Warner Bros doesn’t randomly cancel it.
