“It’s been 84 years”, the famous movie line goes but in the case of Grand Theft Auto VI’s first official trailer, it feels as though it has been a lot longer.
It is hard to believe that the first trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI was released way back in December 2023 and gave us our first official glimpse at the first Grand Theft Auto title in over a decade.
Check out our only official look at Grand Theft Auto VI below!
The trailer confirmed that players would be heading back to Vice City and its surrounding areas and would be following the story of dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia.

We also saw a whole lot of chaos, bikinis, alligators, cars, and more and let’s face it, with no sign of a second trailer, we have probably already watched the GTA VI trailer one too many times to make up for the lack of updates.
With Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games confirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track to be released in Fall 2025, you would think that the second official trailer would be here by now.
However, despite countless rumours and leaks, it is nowhere to be seen which has led some fans to an alarming discovery.
Taking to r/GTA6 this weekend, one user wrote, “GTA 6 trailer was revealed 500 days ago” alongside a broken heart and wilting rose emoji.

“Putting it that way is f**king with my mind.”
It’s true, spreading the days out like that is a stark reminder of how long it has been and it seems as though other fans agree.
“I can’t f**king believe how long it’s been with radio silence,” the top comment reads.
Another user added, “At this point I don't need a trailer 2, just a game.”

At the time of writing, there is no exact release date for either Grand Theft Auto VI or its second trailer so we continue doing what we do best: waiting.
