We’ve finally had a look at the remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which is being fully revealed later today by Bethesda, but it’s reportedly not the only game getting the remaster treatment.
Documents originally shown during the FTC court hearings, of which Microsoft was being examined, showed that the Oblivion remaster was coming in 2022 (which has obviously passed) but it also noted a Fallout 3 remaster, too.
Fallout 3 remains a fan-favourite of the series
Picked up by The Gamer, a Fallout 3 remaster was due for 2024, and while it didn’t materialise, that doesn’t mean it isn’t being worked on, if it was in Microsoft’s plans.

Over on Reddit, fans are trying to keep their hype in check, but are quietly excited that we could get a classic wasteland adventure remastered.
Much of that thread is jokes about the constant releases of Skyrim which Bethesda has become known for, but if you scroll enough, you’ll see that some fans are itching to get a remaster of Fallout 3.
“If Microsoft was smart, they’d have the Fallout 3 remake ready for when season 2 of the Amazon show comes out,” notes one fan.
“Fallout 3 would be awesome. That said, I hope they're updating the gameplay because as much as I love some of those older Bethesda games, they are pretty wonky by today's standards,” says another player.

This has, of course, sparked conversations of other games fans want to see remastered including my personal favourite Elder Scrolls game, Morrowind.
“I'd lose my mind if they remade Morrowind,” said WhenInZone - me too, buddy.
While another Redditor would rather see Fallout: New Vegas get some love, as season two of the Fallout show will be heading there.
“Given where S2 of the show is heading, I’m almost certain NV is in the works,” says mvallas1073 - now that would be sweet.
