Well, it’s finally happened, after nearly two years of waiting, Rockstar Games finally gave us an update on GTA VI, albeit a quite vague update.
Earlier today, Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier reported that his inside sources claimed that Rockstar Game may reveal a GTA VI trailer in early December. Obviously, it was always wise to take those reports with a pinch of salt, no matter how reliable Schreier is.

However, as is often the case with Schreier’s inside scoops, those reports proved to be true and perhaps Rockstar Games’ hand was forced to make the Grand Theft Auto VI announcement ahead of time just hours after the reports ran wild on the internet.

As you can imagine, the news coming direct from Rockstar Games has been making huge waves across social media with fans eager to see what we’ll be treated to in the upcoming trailer. That being said, it’s perhaps a good idea to keep our expectations low, just in case we’re treated to a logo and a snippet of gameplay if we’re lucky. Though a GTA VI release date or launch window would be nice.
At the time of writing, the tweet from the official Rockstar Games Twitter account announcing the news already has nearly 30 million views, over 670,000 Likes and 275,000 Retweets. As for Facebook, that same announcement currently has nearly 50,000 shares, nearly 134,000 reactions and over 17,000 comments. As for Instagram, the post from Rockstar Games has over 940,000 Likes and nearly 31,000 comments.
If social media is buzzing right now, just imagine how much of a frenzy it will be when Rockstar Games reveals that highly anticipated trailer. Yikes!
While platforms haven't been confirmed as of yet, it is expected that GTA VI will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
