This seems to be far from the truth as confirmed by industry insider, Tom Henderson, in recent days. Henderson’s sources have confirmed that the new title will indeed be released for the previous generation.
Additionally, this news also comes with the factoid that Nintendo Switch will see a release, though this is likely to land on the Switch follow-up hardware, a first for the Call of Duty franchise.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will focus on the Gulf War which took place in the early 1990s in an attempt to liberate the people in the Gulf. While we did recently received a teaser trailer from Activision little is known on the game.
We can only speculate as to what we will see in the game when it releases. For example, we know that the bulk of the game will likely take place in the early 90s which means we won’t see some of the modern equipment and weapons we usually see in Modern Warfare.
