If you’ve been feeling deflated knowing that there’s going to be a long wait in store for the release of season five of The Boys, hopefully, this news will help lift your spirits.
Recently, season four of The Boys concluded with a dramatic season finale that left fans on the edge of their sofas eagerly awaiting the fifth and final season. Unfortunately, while many fans would have hoped that season five of The Boys would arrive in 2025, it seems that we’ll be waiting a long time for its release date.
Check out The Boys season four trailer below!
There is other The Boys content to help keep us busy for a while such as the fantastic spin-off series Gen V, as well as the short but gloriously gory animated series The Boys Presents: Diabolical. I would wholeheartedly recommend the unrelated superhero animation, Invincible, all of which are available on Amazon’s Prime Video.

Yet, if that’s not enough The Boys goodness for you, then you will be pleased to know that during the recent San Diego Comic-Con, series showrunner Eric Kripke announced on a panel with the cast of the show that a new prequel series is on the way.
The prequel series in question is called Vought Rising and it will be set in the 1950s and tells the origins of not only Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash) but also how Vought International became a global, yet corrupt juggernaut.
No release date has been announced for Vought Rising at the time of writing, but it will be released on Amazon’s Prime Video and hopefully, it will come our way before season four of The Boys.
As for season two of the other spin-off series, Gen V, that is expected to arrive at some point in 2025. We’ll keep you posted when we get official confirmation on all those release dates.
