Star Wars fans have often debated the parents of Grogu in the Disney Plus series, The Mandalorian but the answer has been there the whole time.
Before we learned the name of Grogu, Star Wars fans adopted the name “Baby Yoda” with the belief that he could be the son of the Jedi Masters, Yoda and Yaddle. However, at least biologically, the birth parents of Grogu remain a mystery in a galaxy, far, far away.

We officially learned the name of Grogu in season two, episode five of The Mandalorian. Furthermore, in the season three finale episode, Din Djarin (aka the Mandalorian) adopted Grogu as his own, giving him the full name of Din Grogu.
However, the looming question remains, who are Grogu’s biological parents and will we ever learn who they are?
“Should they look for Grogu's parents in season four?” asked Redditor I_Ask_Random_Things. “I know Din adopts Grogu but the Armorer says something about Grogu's parents being far away and if they're still alive.”
“Does she know Grogu's species and where they can be found? Should Din go on a quest next season to meet with Din Grogu's parents?”

As we all know, even if we learn who Grogu’s biological parents are, Din Djarin, played by Pedro Pascal will always be the real daddy.
“I thought that’s where they were gonna go with it but then I realised that was her saying ‘Don’t ever waste your time they’re probably not even alive’,” replied Immediate_Theory4738. “Leaving Din with only one choice in his heart.”
“No. Din is his parent,” said No-Knee9457, getting straight to the point.
“He's already living with his daddy,” responded JayMmhkay.

“Din Djarin. Din Grogu. This is the way. I don't want two Dins in the same show. I have spoken,” declared Vahn1857.
At the time of writing, season four of The Mandalorian does not have a set release date but it is scheduled to launch sometime in May 2026 on Disney Plus due to being delayed by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
In the meantime, we can always catch up with all episodes of The Mandalorian on Disney Plus.
