The Amazing Spider-Man is swinging back into comic book action, again, as Marvel reboots the character ... again.
Spider-Man is essentially the poster-boy of Marvel, and his popularity never really dwindled so it’s no surprise that he’s getting yet another comic series.
Hopefully it’s better than the last few … *sobs in Paul*

Speaking of Spider-Man, he’s a menace in Marvel Rivals. Check it out below.
The new series is simply titled Amazing Spider-Man, and is being written by Joe Kelly with art by John Romita Jr. and Pepe Larraz.
Speaking on the series, Kelly said they “don’t think of it as a ‘restart’ per se,” rather “the next chapter in the story of one of the world’s greatest characters”.

They continued that they “feel a drive to take bold, unexpected swings in order to see how Spider-Man deals with Marvel-sized curve balls. Pressure makes diamonds,” after all.
Sounds exciting, and I’m definitely in the mood for more Spider-Man stories so I’ll be checking it out.
The artwork has a lot going for it too, featuring some of Spider-Man’s most iconic villains like Rhino, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, Shocker and one of my personal favourites, Hobgoblin.
The first issue will be with us by 9 April 2025 so keep an eye on your local comic shops or preferred online retailers.

In other Spider-Man news, there’s been a lot of buzz around Spider-Man 4 over at Disney though there’s also a lot of misinformation as well.
Some rumours claim it’ll unite the three Spider-Men once again whereas others suggest it’ll be a team-up film that sees Peter partner with another hero like Daredevil (please) or Deadpool.
Honestly, it could go either way at this point, but personally I’d love the next film to be a simple story about Peter fighting street-level criminals, with an appearance from Daredevil, perhaps Kingpin, so Daredevil can be in it, so he can really be his own hero.
