It doesn’t look as if a new Grand Theft Auto VI reveal is set to happen anytime soon.
Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive, has made that clear; the parent company of Rockstar Games, if you’re unaware.
"We do have competitors who will describe their release schedule for years in advance, and we found that the better thing to do is to provide marketing materials relatively close to the release window in order to create that excitement on the one hand, and balance the excitement with unmet anticipation," he previously stated.

As such, you shouldn’t expect any gameplay or a second trailer to drop until much closer to the game’s release date, whenever that is.
Yes, we’re still not exactly sure when GTA VI is landing beyond its vague fall / autumn window, which suggests September to November.
For those who are worried that a delay might be coming due to all of this secrecy, I’d like to put your mind at ease because a new leak practically confirms that’s not the case.
You can view GTA VI’s original trailer below.
Mafia: The Old Country may have been produced by 2K, not Rockstar, but 2K is also a part of the Take-Two Interactive family - and Take-Two is always going to ensure its studios don’t clash when it comes to their projects’ release dates.

Well, in recent days, Mafia: The Old Country’s release date was accidentally leaked on Steam ahead of what many are assuming was the official planned reveal at May’s PAX East event.
We now know that Mafia: The Old Country will land on 8 August.
Borderlands 4 and NBA 2K26 are the other major titles on Take-Two’s release slate alongside GTA VI.
Borderlands 4 has already been confirmed for 23 September, while NBA 2K26 is expected to drop earlier that month.

That leaves October and November open and available, so I’d imagine it’s here that we’ll see GTA VI land.
This fits with the fall / autumn promise from Rockstar, plus I’d argue these months are amongst the most popular for AAA releases as it also stands titles in good stead going into December’s The Game Awards.
With all of this in mind, I’d say it’s pretty safe for us to sit back, relax, and simply wait for GTA VI to fall into our laps in six to seven months' time.
