While Ryan Reynolds may have hung up the katanas, for now at least, the character of Deadpool isn’t going anywhere.
If anything, he’s going to be more popular than ever due to the knockout success of Deadpool & Wolverine, which recently debuted on Disney+.
Deadpool & Wolverine is now showing on Disney+ and currently sits as the most-watched live-action film on the service.
While many of us would love to see the merc with a mouth back in the MCU, he’s got a pit stop on a cruiseliner first.

Disney has announced that Deadpool will be appearing on the Disney Adventure cruise ship as part of two MCU experiences onboard.
So, you could say that Deadpool is an MCU hero now.
One of these experiences is an Avengers themed stage production predictably called Avengers Assemble!
It’s here where Deadpool will make an appearance and probably break the fourth wall many times in each performance.

This continues on the recent appearances of the mercenary who has been showing up in Disney parks across the world and interacting with guests.
Those showings of the character were short-lived and for a limited time, while the promotion for Deadpool & Wolverine was underway.
This new show will be an ongoing production while the cruiseliner takes guests around Asia, and Deadpool will be on-stage for every showing.
It will be interesting to see how this goes over with guests and I can’t imagine they’re going to see an R-rated version of Deadpool here.

The cruise, much like the Disney parks, will be family focused, so perhaps it’ll be a more fun-loving Deadpool that pokes fun, rather than comically eviscerates other characters.
For now, this is the only place you’ll see a live-action Deadpool until Ryan Reynolds, or Kevin Feige, drop some news on the merc’s inclusion in future MCU films.
Surely he’s going to turn up for Avengers: DOOMSDAY or Avengers: Secret Wars, right? That’s money, right there.
