James Spader’s Ultron is about to be back on our screens next year, in a brand new Marvel Cinematic Universe project on Disney+.
Thank you in advance to Comicbook Movie's Josh Wilding for the original source!
Avengers: Age of Ultron had a lot of problems, but James Spader’s performance as the Marvel villain Ultron certainly wasn’t one of them.

Unfortunately, we haven’t seen the character reappear in live-action since then… although that probably has a little something to do with the fact that Vision killed him in the film.
However, Ultron is making his return to the MCU in 2026, and James Spader is coming back to voice him too.
Thanks to a recent interview with Faran Tahir, who will be reprising his role as Raza from the original Iron Man film, we got an update on Spader’s role in the upcoming Disney+ series Vision.
“James Spader and I did a couple of episodes of The Blacklist, so there was a nice reunion of people who had worked together before,” Tahir revealed.

“It was nice to have the team back in a different way, setting, and reality. It was a lot of fun. I have one more stunt to do, which I will do in about a month; that's going to be a lot of fun."
I kinda feel like I’m burying the lede a little bit here though, because I had no idea Faran Tahir was coming back for the Vision series.
In case you’re unfamiliar with the character Raza (which you would be forgiven for considering he last appeared in the MCU 17 years ago), he’s the guy who had Tony Stark locked in a cave during Iron Man.
Absolutely no idea why both Raza and Ultron are returning for a Vision TV series, but it’s such a random pairing that I’m kinda excited to find out.
