Fans think they’ve discovered the perfect role for Keanu Reeves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe… well, actually, they think they’ve discovered two, and they’re both incredible.
Over in a thread on the r/Fancast subreddit, MCU fans have been discussing which Marvel character they want the beloved celeb to take on.
One of these options is very good, but personally, I think the other is way better.

The first pick is for The Silver Surfer, and I can see it.
“Came to say this!” commented user Decent-Tree-9658, “Stoic surfer dude who both understands the immensity and awe of existence as well as the deepest depths of grief. It’s basically too perfect.”
Obviously this would be a pretty fun, tongue-in-cheek way of referencing the film Point Break, which features Keanu as FBI agent and lover of surfing Johnny Utah, but I also think he could nail the detached, overworldly vibe that Norrin Radd gives off.
However, the other top-voted comment in the thread is what I believe to be a much better fit for Keanu: Ghost Rider.

Thunderbolts* is the MCU's next release.
“Keanu said he wants to play Ghost Rider,” commented user MaderaArt, “I'd let him go for it.”
“Perfect for Johnny Blaze,” replied user HawkeyeP1, “and we've already got our Robbie Reyes cast and waiting in the wings.”

Turns out that first comment is actually true, as Keanu has expressed interest in playing Ghost Rider before.
Back in 2022, Keanu was asked on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show what Marvel character he’d most like to play, and his answer was as expectedly wholesome as you’d assume.
"10-year-old Reeves would want to — I think he'd probably want to be Ghost Rider,” he replied.
Kinda almost feels like the role is perfect for him, given his age and his love of motorcycles, so I say let him do it. Honestly, just let Keanu do whatever he wants while we’re at it. I only want good things to happen to that man.
