We’ll get our first, proper update on Grand Theft Auto VI’s release date in a matter of weeks, but fans are terrified that Rockstar Games won’t provide them with the positive kind of update.
On May 15, Take-Two is holding another investors call meeting. In short, they’ll have to dish details regarding their upcoming titles and their projected release dates to their investors… and you know the only thing those folks are gonna care about is Grand Theft Auto VI.
So, that’s good news, right? We’ll finally find out exactly when GTA VI is going to drop. That’s a good thing.

Well, a lot of people over on the r/GTA6 subreddit are terrified that the update won’t be a good one, and that the title will be delayed past its projected Q4 2025 release date.
“Every Rockstar Games release in the past decade has been delayed, and some expect this trend to continue with GTA 6. Even Zelnick has admitted he can't guarantee GTA 6 won't slip,” commented user L0veToReddit.
“After all, reports have suggested that GTA 6 has missed multiple internal development deadlines. Even if GTA 6 was already delayed internally, if the game makes it out on time in Fall 2025, it would be Rockstar's first release in 10+ years to do so based on publicly announced dates.”
“The Take-Two investor call is gonna be the decider for GTA 6,” replied user PayneProblems.

“If there’s a delay, they’ll announce it right after the call, like they always do. If they stay quiet, then the fall 2025 release is still on.”
Look, I get the concern, especially given Rockstar Games’ track record.
But I really don’t think you lot should be stressing yourselves out over this. Either it will be delayed, and that’s a good thing because you don’t want to get a half-assed game at launch, or it won’t.
Until we know for sure, just relax folks. There’s no point feeling sad about it until we know for sure.
