Harry Potter fans are adamant the casting for Fred and George Weasley is currently happening, based on a leak online.
While not incredibly important characters to overall story of Harry Potter, Ron’s older brothers Fred and George are fan favourites for a lot of people.
Of course anyone who read the books or watched the films know how that story ends
The characters will be returning to our screens when the HBO reboot goes ahead, albeit with new, younger faces.

No castings have been made at the time writing and the same can be said for the majority of child roles in the series, though several adult roles have been filled like for Albus Dumbledore, Severeus Snape and presumably Hagrid.
That said fans have spotted a casting call online for twin actors of the age of 13, both male, for an undisclosed role.
While there’s no confirmation many believe this could be a call for Fred and George in the upcoming reboot series.
“This has to be the casting call for Fred and George, right?” asked Reddit user dangerouslycheesey94 when they made the thread.

“Definitely” replied one of the comments, with another adding “They better show up with red hair and hand-me-down robes.”
Another added “Thank god they went for the twins route and not just one actor pretending to be two people. Oliver and James bounced off of each other so well.”
That said many fans aren’t very optimistic about these two, believing the film portrayal of the characters by Oliver and James Phelps will be a tough one to beat.
I’m sure it’ll be fine though, it’s clear this reboot is trying to be very different from the films that came before it, which I think is a good call otherwise you’d just be watching the same thing but in a TV show format…what would be the point?
