Harry Potter fans will be excited to hear that we may have confirmation on the next casting choice for the HBO reboot series.
While there’s no news on when filming will start and when we’ll see it on our screens, the HBO reboot of Harry Potter already has some top-tier talent secured, including actors for Dumbledore and Snape, two very important characters in the story.

One other important character though is Hagrid, as while he doesn’t do much in terms of moving the plot forward the Hogwarts game-keeper is a mentor to Harry and his friends, as well as an all-around lovable dude.

Now rumour has it that an actor has been found for Hagrid, none other than Nick Frost who you’ll know from masterclass films like Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz.
This was shared by Wizardmayn on Reddit, who has a great track record so far as they also shared the casting details for Dumbledore and Snape before they were officially confirmed.
Nick Frost was a top fan-pick for the role so if it’s true that’s another banger addition to the cast, and we can’t wait to see what his performance is like.
Commenters were pretty pleased with the rumour, with one saying Frost “seems like the right energy, especially for a bumbling sort of characterization. Curious how they'll address the size every time he's on screen.”

Another added “Loveee this, idk why people worry about the sizing so much. See Madame Maxime, Ydri (spelling?) the dwarf in the MCU, the Hobbits compared everyone else in LOTR, and even Robbie Coltrane wasn’t exactly as big as we see on screen. CGI and costumes exist for a reason.”
If Nick Frost really is in the Harry Potter reboot series, it’d be nice to see him reunited with former castmate Simon Pegg, if he’s up for joining the series anyway.
