If you can tease yourself away from The Penguin, then yet another treat has landed for DC fans.
I do want to take this quick opportunity to encourage you to watch The Penguin if you’re yet to give the premiere episode a go.
It is totally deserving of the hype with stellar performances from Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti.

It’s viewable on HBO in the US, and Sky Atlantic/NOW TV in the UK.
That aside, I want to introduce you to what’s new in the world of DC Comics.
Artist Skottie Young has released brand new variant covers for the first issues of Absolute Superman, Absolute Batman, and Absolute Wonder Woman - set to be released next month.
And while, visually, this is a very different look for our beloved caped crusader and his colleagues, the uniqueness of these covers is surely going to prove a hit with collectors.

On his blog, Young explained his excitement over producing the limited-run covers: “I’ve been dying to show these to you all but we were so busy with things around here at Stupid Fresh Mess that we needed to hold off until it calmed down a little.”
“I can’t wait anymore. Megan’s probably in her office right now wishing I was procrastinating on this newsletter and NOT sending it out until all the details are ready. Too bad! I’m crushing it at my J O B today and I’m gonna show you all some covers,” he continued.

They’ve already gone down very well with fans.
“The art style screams edgy but adorable and I love it,” wrote Reddit user Foxyairman.

“I love it. My favorite style,” added another, while Future_Vantas commented, “This is silly and adorable and I love it.”
The issues are due to be sold on Young’s website, so do keep an eye out for those. I’m imagining they’ll fly off those virtual shelves.
