Red Dead Redemption is one of the most beloved video game franchises, allowing players to live their best digital wild west life.
The series was taken to its peak with 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2, which was actually a prequel to the critically acclaimed game of 2010. In the original Red Dead Redemption, players assumed control of John Marston, whereas in the prequel, Arthur Morgan was the protagonist.

Obviously, there are technical advancements in the sequel, but it doesn't matter which game in the series you played, even with 2004’s Red Dead Revolver, nothing quite compares to the Rockstar Games property. Sorry to 2005’s Gun.

At this time, the Red Dead Redemption franchise only exists in the video game form, but if there was any series perfect for a live-action adaptation, it would be this one. Can you imagine a big-budget series with the backing of HBO? It would certainly be a dream collaboration for fans and that’s what’s being discussed on Reddit.
Reddit BuckeyeGuy987 has put together a casting choice for a live-action series and I must admit, some of the fantasy casting is right on point. The Reddit user in question has shared their casting choices in two parts. The first two main choices by the Reddit user were Jensen Ackles as Arthur Morgan and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as John Marston. Personally, I’m not overly keen. In my opinion, I’d love to see Josh Brolin as Morgan and Norman Reedus as Marston. However, the rest of the lists, I can’t really argue with.
In part one of the fantasy casting, some of the picks of the bunch include Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Dutch van der Linde, Wyatt Russel as Micah Bell, Keira Knightley as Sadie Adler, Lauren Cohan as Abigail Roberts, and Jack Black as Uncle.
As for part two, Domhnall Gleason is Sean MacGuire, Rory McCann is Bill Williamson, Diego Luna is Javier Escuella, Bette Midler is Susan Grimshaw, Bryce Dallas Howard is Molly O’Shea, Nick Offerman is Mr. Pearson and Robert Knepper is the dastardly Agent Milton. Now we just need to will this into existence as a real show.
