If you’re a PlayStation Plus subscriber on the lookout for a great new game to play, you’ve come to the right place for a recommendation. One of the subscription service’s latest titles is leaving players ‘mesmerised’ and I can attest, it’s a game I utterly adore.
Let’s recap the month. In April, essential tier subscribers gained access to Sackboy: A Big Adventure, Tails of Iron and day one release Meet Your Maker. The month is almost up so do grab those titles before it’s too late. If Sackboy interests you, there’s also a bunch of free DLC available on the PlayStation Store. Extra and premium subscribers gained access to 16 new titles including today’s pick of choice. If you’re after a beautifully animated action-adventure then Kena: Bridge of Spirits is the game for you.
Take a look at Kena: Bridge of Spirits in action below.
Released by Ember Lab in 2021, Kena: Bridge of Spirits centres around Kena, a young spirit guide who must save an abandoned village and the souls trapped within it from the corruption unleashed by a powerful masked spirit. If you’re a fan of Studio Ghibli films, Kena: Bridge of Spirits’ narrative felt as if it was very much in that storytelling vein. The game also boasts some pretty tricky boss battles, fun platforming conundrums, plus you’re followed around by a giant horde of waddling little creatures called Rot. All in all, what’s not to love?

Literally one of the best out there. I am mesmerised. I can’t explain the feeling after playing it but it’s so calm and soothing.” I too have been begging people to play this game for years.

Loved every moment of it and the soundtrack was so soothing and sweet,” while jellyfishgardens17 added, “The game exceeded my expectations! It’s amazing how beautiful and immersive it is for an indie game.” It’s true that it can prove to be a little difficult in places but hey, it keeps you on your toes.
