On the lookout for a new free game you can sink endless hours into? Well, you’re in the right place.
PC owners are in agreement that gaming on the platform is becoming increasingly expensive, pricing some gamers out. It can be hard keeping up with the demanding specs of new AAA releases, but there are plenty of PC games out there which demand very little of your machine. Here at GAMINGbible, we’re passionate about making gaming accessible to all, regardless of what hardware you own - and regardless of your budget, because the game at the centre of today’s story just so happens to be free-to-play. If you’re a fan of strategy and deck-building games, you’re going to want to check out the well received Soul of War: Legions.
On the topic of free, a free demo for Ghostrunner II is available on all platforms now.
Developed and published by Fantasy War Studio, Soul of War: Legions describes itself as a “strategy deck-building game with twists”. It features eight player PvP battles, where you’ll be tasked with strategically outplaying your opponents, whilst also introducing “fresh auto chess gameplay”.

It only released last month and remains in early access but already, it’s garnered an impressive review score of 84% on Steam. “Soul of War: Legions is a game that really grabs you from the first minutes and doesn't let go until the very end,” wrote one user, while another added, “Game is fun and interesting.”
Some criticise the game’s explanation of its own mechanics but add that once you’ve got to grips with the gameplay, you’re in for a treat. For now, others also warn of a lack of players which means you’ll occasionally end up facing off against bots. As the game gears up to its full release though, hopefully that problem should ease.
