Steam's latest free offering is perfect for Fallout fans

Check out this Steam freebie!

If you’re a fan of the Fallout series and are on the lookout for a new game, then you might want to check out this Steam free offering.

It’s always nice to save money whenever we can, especially when it comes to our favourite hobby of playing video games. Sure, there are always free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty: Warzone and Rocket League, but sometimes it’s great to get a taste of a yet-to-be-released title.

Check out the Sand trailer below!

One such title is an FPS developed by Hologryph and TowerHaus, simply called Sand. While this open-world shooter has taken inspiration from other titles in its genre, perhaps such as Rust, it’s also giving us major Fallout vibes.

Sand is a vast, open-world PvP/PvE game where you explore the fallen planet of Sophie,” reads the description on the Steam store. “Build gigantic Tramplers to conquer this hostile environment, filled with mystical anomalies, monuments, and other players. Find out what happened in this fallen world, once ruled by the Austro-Hungarian Empire.”

While Sand does not have a release date at the time of writing, you can check out its pre-release demo now to see what all the fuss is about without spending a penny. You can also sign up to be included in its alpha testing via the official website.

“In an alternate history version of 1910, humanity had made significant advancements in space exploration thanks to the discovery of new energy sources,” the synopsis explains. “The Austro-Hungarian Empire led the way in conquering other planets, but a mysterious ecological disaster struck planet Sophie, forcing its settlers to hastily leave behind a once-resource-rich world.”

Hopefully, Sand will be released in its final form at some point by next year, and to be notified of when it is ready to launch, be sure to wishlist it on Steam.
