Nintendo Switch 2 getting a ton of surprising games

According to recent rumours, the Nintendo Switch 2 is going to get a ton of banger games.

At this point, it feels like it’s only a matter of time until Nintendo reveals the Switch 2 (currently, not its official name). Despite being confirmed last year, we know little about the successor to the popular Nintendo Switch which launched in 2017.

Check out the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer below!

We do know that the Nintendo Switch 2 will be backwards compatible with current-gen titles, which is always a welcomed bonus. There have been apparent leaks of the Switch 2 model but until we get official confirmation, those leaks should be taken with a pinch of salt for the time being.

However, that’s not to say that we don't love gossiping about rumours because we most certainly do and these rumours should be enough to get a lot of gamers hyped.

In recent days alone, we’ve seen rumours making the social media rounds that the likes of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Red Dead Redemption 2 as well a remake of Resident Evil Zero are on the cards.

Now, as reported by VGC, according to YouTuber and industry insider Nate the Hate, not only could Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater be coming to the Switch 2 but so could a plethora of Ubisoft titles.

Those Ubisoft titles include the seemingly troubled Assassin’s Creed Shadows (recently delayed for a third time), along with Tom Clancy’s The Division and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege series’ as well as a Mario Rabbids collection.

It's not just because I’m a lifelong fan of Metal Gear Solid, but I think the addition of the MGS3 remake would be a big get for the Switch 2 and with it being powered by Unreal Engine 5, that could hint at the potential power of the upcoming Nintendo console.

This wouldn't be the first MGS3 remake on a Nintendo console, because we were treated to the commercially under-appreciated Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D for the Nintendo 3DS in 2012.

Hopefully, Nintendo will officially reveal the Switch successor in the coming days and we’ll keep you updated when that happens.

At the time of writing, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater doesn't have a release date but it is expected to be released this year on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
