Another game is available to download for free on Steam but act fast, as you haven’t got long to claim it.
If this year’s upcoming games are making your wallet groan, fear not. Steam is once again offering a free game to add to your library, and it’s a pretty good one.
Check out our preview for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, releasing next month!
For a limited time only, and we do mean limited, Steam users can add We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip to their library. What is We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip, I hear you ask? Well it’s actually a brand-new game, only being released last week on 14 September, yet it’s already raked in thousands of positive reviews from those who’ve played it.

The game’s description reads: “Partner up with your friend online and test your friendship by solving puzzles together in an abandoned amusement park. Work together to overcome brain-teasing challenges in this standalone We Were Here experience.”
Players will arrive at an abandoned theme park full of mysteries to solve, but you can’t do it alone. As you probably guessed, We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip is a game about friendship, communication, and teamwork. This is made clear by the game literally being unplayable if you haven’t got a buddy to play it with, so grab one of your friends and prepare to take part in some jolly co-op play.
Pairs will overcome a variety of puzzles and challenges, and both participants will need a microphone to communicate what to do and where to go. If you can make it through to the end with your friendship intact, you’ll be graded on how well you did.
If this sounds like your cup of tea, you can download We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip for free right now! It won’t be free forever though, as the offer ends on 13 October, so if you’re interested, get it claimed, buddy up, and see if you can conquer the friendship test.
