The online game is an “elite, tactical team-based shooter where superior planning and execution triumph” and features 5v5 attack vs defence gameplay. “On defence, coordinate with your team to transform your environments into strongholds. Trap, fortify and create defensive systems to prevent being breached by the enemy,” reads the official synopsis.
“On attack, lead your team through narrow corridors, barricaded doorways and reinforced walls. Combine tactical maps, observation drones, rappelling and more to plan, attack and defuse every situation.”
The Steam deal will allow you to play Rainbow Six Siege with friends who both own and don’t own the game and any progress will be transferred to the full game if you choose to purchase it. This is possible as long as you connect to your Ubisoft account. Additionally, the free experience allows access to all game modes and maps so you can get a true feel of the core gameplay.
Both the free trial and 80% discount on the full game are available until 21 March so make sure to get a move on if you don’t want to miss out on this epic deal.
