If you like free games and you know it clap your hands. I am going to assume you clapped your hands, even though I can't see you. I feel we have a special connection.
Steam recently dropped another eight games you can download and keep for free with no subscription, and there are some nice surprises.
As always, don't come to this expecting AAA bangers like Assassin's Creed or Call Of Duty. These are smaller indie games made by people you've probably never heard of, but you just might find a hidden gem.

Shall we take a look, then? I think we shall.
Below are the eight free games recently added to Steam, available to download right now:
- ONE MAP - Never Ending Battle Royale - "The dynamic map adjusts to the player count, ensuring non-stop combat. Survive, compete, and help break the world record for the most players online in a game."
- Echoes of Elysium: Airship Builder - Build your own airship and set out to explore a vast world.
- Goosthetic - An old-school FPS that's gotten some really positive reviews.
- Crown Of Chaos - This one looks like the kind of low-budget PS1 game you only half remember existing but know you loved, and I mean that as the highest praise.
- Rush Ultimate - Very silly 3D racing fun.
- Ascent DX - A gorgeous pixel-art metroidvania that's gotten really positive reviews from players.
- Twilight Tales: Hollow's Store - A psychological horror game set in a store after dark. Choices you make will impact the story.
- Etherburn - A souls-like action adventure very much in the old-school style.
And there you have it; a positive cornucopia of new free games to try out. Dive in, see if anything tickles your pickle, and don't forget to shout about it if you find one that strikes a chord with you. Games like this need a little more love.
