We’re almost at the weekend, my friends. Got any big plans? If so, you might want to throw all of them out of the window, because two huge games are available to download and play on Steam right now, and you won’t want to miss out.
Steam is a wondrous place - you can find and download thousands of PC games for free, although admittedly, some are a lot better than others. There’s some absolute gems to be found, though - you could spend literally an endless amount of time delving into some of them. This weekend, Steam is offering up two popular titles to download and play for a limited time.
Take a look at the trailer for the free-to-play Pokémon-like battle simulator game, Temtem Showdown, below.
First up, we have Prison Architect. Even if you’ve not played this one, you’ve probably heard of it - the management simulation game has players design and develop their own penitentiary, in which they must oversee utilities, finances and the care of prisoners.

Next is Super Mega Baseball 4 - which, believe it or not, is a baseball game. Woah! Having only just released last month, it’s the latest release in EA’s Super Mega Baseball series, so it’s quite a surprise to see it offered for free so soon. The game includes over 200 recognisable baseball stars and multiple modes to try out, including Pennant Race and Franchise.
It needs to be noted that both Super Mega Baseball 4 and Prison Architect are only available to play for three days from now - after that, you’ll have to pay in order to continue playing. However, before then, you can sink in as many hours as you want, so feel free to fill your boots while you can, or simply use this as a trial period to figure out if you want to buy them in the future.
