It’s that time again.
A bunch of new free-to-play titles have landed on Steam, as reported by SteamGamesPC.
And I’m here to guide you through exactly what’s on offer so that you can nab yourself some fresh entertainment.

Let’s begin with Bad Guitar Studio’s FragPunk which has launched to ‘Mostly Positive’ reviews.
This one’s a thrilling 5v5 hero shooter which utilises ‘Shard Cards’ that allow you to “break the rules of combat” - and I have to say, it does look brilliant.
Players have praised the gunplay and art style, so it sounds as if FragPunk is off to a promising start.
Next up is fdrive’s Operation Blackout, a first-person shooter that’s a tad different to your usual military fare.

Here, you’ll enter an abandoned industrial facility, eliminating monsters that lurk “in the shadows of this dark place”.
This one has ‘Very Positive’ reviews, with users enjoying its “undemanding”, simple nature.
ICYMI: Assassin’s Creed Shadows is finally set to launch this week.
Do you prefer roguelikes? Well, Fang of Moon’s Harder could be the one for you.
Advert
Also utilising hack n’ slash mechanics, this one sees you take on waves of angels and demons in a bid to eliminate a particular god.
Why, I hear you ask? You’ll be assuming the role of one of the seven deadly sins. It’s an interesting premise, I suppose.
Oh and it has an anime aesthetic, if that’s something that sways you.
I may get Myrmidon out the way next because, I’m going to warn you, it has ‘Mostly Negative’ reviews.

That surprised me because based on the trailer alone, Myrmidon is the most impressive looking title in this list to me and exactly the type of thing that’s up my alley.
Developed by Studio Popote, this one’s a co-op platformer where you’ll explore the relationship between a puppet and his animator.
So what’s gone wrong? Well, it’s reportedly ridden with bugs and lag, with many users acknowledging that the game struggles to operate at 10fps at times.
For those of you seeking a new MMORPG, you may want to try Glory Destiny - Reborn from X-Legend Entertainment.
Advert
Aesthetically, this one’s giving My Sims.
It’s a very cosy MMORPG where you’ll “return to the Forest Kingdom, defend your homeland, and join the Shield of Glory as a new-generation hero”.
Yes, that means it’s a relaunch of sorts of Glory Destiny but you don’t need any prior knowledge really to hop in.
Another title with ‘Very Positive’ reviews is Fudjin’s Track Masters Pro, a racing sim.
“Track Masters Pro is a realistic racing simulator where you can choose from five unique cars with full external customisation and upgrades,” the synopsis reads.
“Compete with artificial intelligence. Show your skills on the track and become the best racer!”
Players have praised the game’s potential and ease of controls.
Fireteam Interactive’s StrikeNet takes us back to the shooter genre next.
This one’s a PvP shooter where you’ll basically face off against friends in DeathMatch, Team Battles, and Capture the Flag modes.
I’ll admit, details are thin on the ground regarding the game’s lore. It’s seemingly set in an ordinary city but everyone is dressed like a little wizard, so make of that what you will.
And finally, there’s Celtic Heroes.
This is another MMORPG, this time from Deca Games EOOD.
“Are you looking for that classic MMORPG vibe? Whether you're a minmaxer strategising every detail for maximum efficiency, a savvy fashion collector in search of the most stunning outfits, or even someone who enjoys the journey of casual levelling, Celtic Heroes opens its gates to you,” reads the game’s description.
Here I’m going to issue another warning though. Players say that it’s very pay-to-win.
All of the above titles are available for free right now over on Steam.
