If you’re on the lookout for something that combines the worlds of Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War, you’ve come to the right place.
Kaku: Ancient Seal is an exciting new action-adventure driven open world RPG from studio BINGOBELL.
At the present time, it’s available on PC via Steam but PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S ports are in the works.

Players will assume the role of Kaku, a young warrior who is tasked with restoring peace to the lands he inhabits, visiting four elemental regions and beating their powerful lords.
The realm-hopping aspect of Kaku: Ancient Seal is reminiscent of what you might find in God of War or its sequel Ragnarök, taking you to several vastly different locales.
The combat, however, is more akin to that which you’ll find in the Horizon franchise, with Kaku wielding a powerful staff.
ICYMI: Lego Horizon Adventures is coming later this year.
Of course, it’s clear that Kaku: Ancient Seal adopts a more playful art style but that’s not a downside.

In fact, it taps into the same vein that Kena: Bridge of Spirits did. There’s a PS2-nostalgia to this modern RPG, and we all know how successful Kena proved to be.
Kaku: Ancient Seal isn’t all about combat. As with any good RPG, there’s some puzzle solving and platforming involved.
You’ve also got an adorable sidekick in the form of Piggy, a flying (you guessed it) pig.
“KAKU: Ancient Seal is an open world ARPG game with an ancient fantasy theme. Set in a primordial era, this world was created by the elemental power of the Creator Saga. One day, a calamity from another realm strikes, causing the dispersion of the elemental souls, and the world splits into four continents, while the Creator Saga goes missing,” the synopsis begins.

“Millennia later, a young man named Kaku, living in the vast snowy mountains, along with Piggy, a flying pig, shoulders the task of finding the lost elemental souls under the guidance of a lost prophecy. They embark on an ancient and fantastical adventure to uncover the truth behind the calamity and the mystery of their own origins.”
Kaku: Ancient Seal is available to try thanks to a free demo over on Steam.
