With many fans unsure if The Last of Us Part 3 would even happen, it seems as though there is reason to rejoice at a recent discovery online.
Earlier this year saw Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann announce that The Last of Us Part 3 is on the cards but it is not a release we can expect to see anytime soon.

Now according to a recent job listing found online, we could be expecting the third instalment a lot sooner than we first thought.
According to the listing, Naughty Dog is currently looking to hire “a Senior Gameplay Animator with a “strong understanding of creature animation and mechanics to craft gameplay animations for a broad range of creatures of varied types”.
Although this does not confirm The Last of Us Part 3, the use of ‘creatures’ could be referring to the infected.
More significantly however is that this job listing could refer to the highly-anticipated sequel now being in full development.

Despite the success of HBO’s The Last of Us with its second season set to air some time in 2025, fans of the games have been disheartened lately thanks to the cancellation of The Last of Us Online.
The multiplayer spin-off had been in development for many years but Naughty Dog recently announced its cancellation, much to fan’s dismay.
However, it appears as though there is light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the discovery of this job listing.
Hopefully this means we will find out what happens to Ellie next following the heartbreaking events of The Last of Us Part 2.
