Maybe Neil Druckmann is telling the truth after all.
Yesterday, Naughty Dog and PlayStation revealed The Last of Us Complete, a new collection which bundles The Last of Us Part I and Part II Remastered together for the first time.
I’m wholly unsurprised to see its existence.

Insiders have been teasing a new release in the franchise, and a complete edition seemed like the only viable option as it’s hardly as if Naughty Dog is going to shadow drop Part III.
The Last of Us Complete is available now digitally, and includes Part II Remastered’s bonus Lost Levels and roguelike No Return mode.
A physical edition will also be launching in select territories on 10 July at a cost of $109.99.
That’ll include a steelbook case featuring new artwork, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics #1-4 with new cover art, and a set of four lithographic prints.

It’s actually the release’s title that fans cannot stop discussing though.
You may already be thinking it yourself; The Last of Us Complete suggests that the series may be, well, finished.
ICYMI: The Last of Us’ second season kicks off this weekend.
Neil Druckmann has repeatedly made comments in recent weeks regarding The Last of Us Part III, trying to convince people that it doesn’t exist.

Of course, people think he’s bluffing because he doesn’t want to lure the focus away from Naughty Dog's Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
Insiders claim though that mo-cap is already well underway on Part III, so it’s hard to know what to believe.
However, many fans are taking The Last of Us Complete as proof that it’s the end of the road.
“Complete implies there will be no third game,” wrote Vague_Luminary, echoing the sentiments of many.

A more optimistic DomTheBombYT added, “Saying complete until something else drops.”
I’m more in agreement with that line of thinking.
I’ve already written extensively on why I’m confident that Part III will eventually surface, although I could be inhaling copium.
You’re not fooling me The Last of Us Complete; complete for now is my assessment.
