Last night saw Sony’s latest State of Play event and viewers were unsure if anything The Last of Us related would make an appearance.
Although there wasn’t news of another remaster, a potential The Last of Us Part III or a brand-new Naughty Dog IP, The Last of Us still managed to make a splash at the event.
While we're on the topic, check out our review for The Last of Us Part II Remastered below!
It has been over a decade since The Last of Us was first released and since then, it has inspired a hit sequel and even a dedicated television adaptation.

With multiple remasters under its belt, its popularity shows no signs of slowing down and last night’s State of Play event was proof of that.
When we thought the show had ended, Sony had one last announcement.
The Last of Us Part I is coming to the PS Plus catalog on 26 September.
Available for PS Plus premium and extra members, this will be the first time the remake has been added to the Sony service despite the original TLOU being added a few years back.

It is confusing, I know.
Either way, fans of the game and those interested in experiencing it for the first time are excited with the news and took to r/PlayStationPlus to share their thoughts.
“My patience has been rewarded. I don’t think I’ve seen this go below $35,” one comment read.
Another said: “F**k yeah, I wanted to play this game for a while, and I didn't really wanna play the Remastered version lol.

October is a massive W. With Dead Space AND TLOU!”
With The Last of Us being on many gamer’s backlogs, this will be the perfect opportunity to experience the award-winning game for the first time.
However, with PS Plus being infamous for removing titles within months of them first appearing, I would get on this new addition before it’s too late.
