PlayStation fans have been giving their takes on what the next console from Sony could look like, and they’ve been rather humorous.
I’m of the opinion that every successor PlayStation actually looks worse than the one before it, and while I do love my PlayStation 5 it’s absolutely massive and takes up way too much space.
But sure, put it in Midnight Black, that’ll fix it
It’s just the price we pay for more advanced consoles nowadays, they have more in them so the shell needs to be bigger to compensate, but nevertheless it stings when you’re trying to get it into your setup.

With that in mind many are wondering what bold, possibly rubbish, design the PlayStation 6 will go with, and some fans have even drafted up their own ideas.
Take one on a Reddit thread by tuchaioc, who found comparisons between each new PlayStation console and real-life buildings/skyscrapers.
Taking that into account they did a rough sketch of the “PlayStation 6” as a big triangular bit of hardware, with a lump on the side.
I’d give it an A for effort and others would too apparently, as the comments had a good laugh at A. How silly it looks and B. How believable it could be given Sony’s track record with hardware.

“I'd buy into this speculation” read one comment and another followed up saying “seems legit.”
Others took the idea further, saying “PS6 will be a triangle, PS7 will be a square, PS8 will be a cross and finally the long awaited PS9 will be a circle/sphere.”
Honestly it’s almost believable, especially since Xbox seemingly has a monopoly on consoles shaped like old DVD players and other rectangular items…
It’ll be a while before we see what the PlayStation 6 actually looks like, and part of me really hopes it looks like that drawing.
